Sole Stories

A mother daughter duo, Farida and Afshan co-create and run a proudly homegrown PETA certified brand of handcrafted accessories called Sole Stories. They initially created the brand to pay homage to shoes; in a bid to answer the question, "If your sole could tell a tale, what are the stories they would share?” however, they now find themselves making chic and versatile bags too. The brand works in three edits- Signature, Basics and the recently launched Occasions Edit, but holds values such as conscious consumerism and slow fashion at the heart of everything that it does. Their Signature Edit is immensely inspired and deeply rooted within India and her culture, the Basics edit comprises of pieces that are more contemporary in nature, making them your trusty wardrobe essentials and finally the meticulously hand embroidered intricate designs from their Occasions edit, lend themselves beautifully to everything from the “I do’s” and the wedding reception to a strut down the red carpet, it does not matter which edit catches your fancy, because what you inadvertently receive will be pieces that are seriously versatile and beautifully handcrafted!
