Metal Casting is an age old practice of Indian tribes, where a wax mold of a desired geometric pattern is constructed. Molten metal is then poured into the mold where the mold holds this material in shape as it solidifies and creates a cast.
Artisans use this metal cast to create beautiful utensils and jewelry, which are a rare combination of traditional heritage and contemporary designs.
Initially this craft was practiced by the tribes of Orissa and Jharkhand due to abundance of rich minerals in these areas, but in contemporary times this craft can be seen in South-India as well.
